Roomba

I have a Roomba and I absolutely LOVE it!

What I Love

  • I can have the Roomba going while I am cleaning another area of the house and I feel like I get so much more accomplished.
  • I don’t have to get the vacuum out every time I vacuum.
  • We have rather high furniture, so the Roomba can fit under it and get to places that I otherwise would not get to too often.
  • It entertains the children and motivates them to pick up their toys so that the “robot doesn’t eat them!”

What I’m Not too Fond of

  • Price (it’s pretty expensive in my book, I have always asked for them as presents for my birthday or Christmas)
  • In our experience, the refurbished ones are not worth the money, we kept having to buy replacement parts and they kept breaking.  I have not had this experience with a new one.

My Suggestions

  • ask for one as a present, or ask for money to go towards the purchase of one
  • buy extra filters so that when you empty out the tray, you can put in a new one and it’s set to go while the other filter can be washed and dried properly

(iRobot is not compensating me at all, in any way for this post)
