Final Friday 9-30

Last Months Goals

  • get house organized before my husband starts taking classes (on going process)
  • get a new roof
  • replace electronics that were ruined due to the lightening storm
  • schedule a weekend away for my husband and me
  • build a closet in the playroom (starting)
  • I need to get my e-mail inbox under control (I have 13787 unread!- ouch!)(didn’t get to this, it’s now up to 15044!)  🙁
  • keep brainstorming ideas to make my dream come true (researching if ideas are plausible)

Wow!  We are still trying to find a schedule that works for us.

Schedule

My husband will be going back to college in a few weeks.

We are still struggling to get into a schedule that works for us.  I’ve been trying to put the baby down for a morning nap, when we aren’t busy in the mornings, but then he doesn’t fall right asleep in the afternoon.  An hour and a half is not a long enough nap for my 18 month old and my 3 year old.  I’m thinking of pushing their bedtime up a little and seeing if this helps.

Parenting

The attitudes towards chores has improved a little.  Now we are dealing with a sense of entitlement and greed.  (I’ll be writing a blog post on this soon).  This month I’ve really tried focusing on playing more board games with the older kids.

Marriage

We have our weekend scheduled and got some extra money this month from side jobs to put towards our weekend getaway!

I’m constantly trying to speak my husband’s love language!

House

We are starting on the playroom closet this week.

I have been slowly going through toys and trying to reorganize and purge.  This will continue to be an ongoing project for a little while.

I do need to spend more time organizing the office and getting through my e-mails!

Finishing putting up seasonal clothing.

Holidays

Getting organized and figuring out what I’ve already bought throughout the year.

October Goals

  • organize/purge toys
  • organize office
  • delete e-mails
  • write letters to my children
  • make working out a priority
  • get more comfortable with our schedule
  • move our bedtime routine up
  • researching avenues to accomplish my dream
  • go on our weekend getaway
  • speak my husband’s love language
