We’re Moving

(old house)

We are moving!  While it’s very exciting, it’s also very daunting!  There is so much work to do!  It’s also very emotional.  We have brought home all four of our children to this home and made so many wonderful memories.  I’m just trying to remember that we will be able to make more memories in our new home.  This home has been good to us and I really like it.  As exciting as it is, it’s also a little unnerving, because this has been home for so long!

Since our life is going to be crazy the next few weeks (especially since we are moving the same week my brother gets married!)  🙂 I have to allow myself to have an attitude shift.

Grace

I’m going to try and grant myself grace!

My kids will be watching more TV.

We will probably eat more convenience foods.

I am not planning on trying to stay on top of e-mails.

I may miss some blog posts and/or be late getting them up (like this one).

I’m not going to try and workout more than 2x a week.

Not sure how many 1-1 dates with the kids we’ll be having.

Many other “normal” goals are going to be put on the back burner!

Something’s Gotta Give

I know we will be spending more money, it has to come from somewhere, right?

I have decided to forgo swimming lessons for the kids for a month (really not enough time, but it also frees up some money).

We will not put as much into savings.

Goals

I am trying to pack up boxes everyday.

I am also trying to do a little freezer cooking so that we might be able to cut down on how much we eat out!

I’m buying food Groupons like crazy!  😉

Please bear with me during this crazy month of getting ready to move, moving, my brother’s wedding, and getting settled!  (Just in time for holidays to start rolling in!)  Feel free to share any moving tips you have!

Congratulations! Moving is a lot of work so I’m glad to see you are cutting yourself some slack in other areas. Enjoy the process as much as you can. And don’t forget to take lots of pictures! 🙂
I’m sure your family will make many happy memories in your new home for years to come.
