The Tough and the Gentle (Strong Willed Children)

What 35,000 Parents Said about Their Children (Great chapter for parents of children with social issues)

With Love to Parents Who Hurt  (Validated me and made me feel like it’s alright for me to be blogging on this subject, even though I’m not perfect and my children aren’t perfect.)

Suggestions for Parents of Young Children (A must read chapter if you have young children.  I wish they could/would turn this chapter in to a pamphlet and hand it out at doctor’s appointments.)

Power Games  (This chapter goes well with my Little Bit of Independence blog post.)

Too Pooped to Parent (Give yourself some time away from the kids, it makes you a better parent.)

Suggestions for Parents of Adolescents (Great chapter, even if you don’t have teenagers, read it, great justification why to parent early.)

Review

Another great book by Dr. Dobson.  I agree with many of these points and really liked how the book made me feel.  Parenting is hard, but we must do things right in the beginning if our kids are to (hopefully) turn out right.  This book also made me see that sometimes a parent can do everything right, but that their child has free will, and may choose to make bad decisions.  However, I know that some parents use this as an excuse way too often.  I highly recommend this book!
