Thanksgiving Fun

I had my son and his friend decorate these at a Cub Scout meeting.  The recipe is here.

I made cookies from scratch (my favorite recipe), of course I added more cinnamon, more chocolate chips, and didn’t put the raisins in this time.

As you can tell, they used almonds and candy corn for the feathers.  I think these would look amazing if you used

and corn for the feathers.  (I couldn’t find them on sale, so I went with the regular candy corn that I got for 50 cents a bag!)

I was not at the meeting where they made these, but I was told they were pretty easy.  Except that the pretzels were hard to break (I included plastic knives, but I don’t think that worked very well).  My son had so much fun making these.  These are the party favors for his class from their Fall Party!  🙂

Have fun!  I think we will make these again the week of Thanksgiving!
