• Magic School Bus Lost in the Snow book
• Winter books (1/child)
• crayons
• pencils
• paper or white board (& white board markers)

Steps

1. Play song #22 on Kiss Your Brain CD
2. read Magic School Bus book
3. make a list of winter weather (draw a picture and label it) have the children contribute their own ideas to the list
4. model writing your name on the line on the front of the Winter book
5. model turning the page and drawing a picture from the list and writing the name
6. ask the students what they are going to draw in their book as you hand them their book
7. have the students write their name on their book and draw a picture and label it on the first page in their book
8. collect the books when finished
9. listen to the song again and review winter weather
