Summer Activities

Materials
- homemade Summer books
- construction paper or whiteboard
- whiteboard markers or regular markers
Procedure
- get out the summer chart () and have a class discussion about what they see in the poster
- ask the children to guess what season the chart is depicting
- listen to song #22 on
- read and
- make a list of activities to do in the summer (draw a picture and label it)
- repeat #5 until every child has had a turn
- pass out the Summer books
- model turning to a blank page, drawing a picture from the list and labeling it
- instruct the students to do the same
- have the students come up and show you their book when they are done
- put a sticker on it (if done correctly) and send the books home
- review things/activities/etc that we attribute to summer
