The students went to six different stations and learned how different countries celebrate Christmas and made a craft at each station. In Sweden they learned about St. Lucia’s Day and made a head wreath; in Israel they learned about Hanukkah and made a menorah; in Germany they learned about Kriss Kringle and St. Nicholas, they made a Christmas tree and hid a pickle ornament on it for good luck; in China they learned about the Festival of Lanterns and made paper lanterns; in Mexico they learned about “Las Posadas” and made paper “luminarias;” in the United States they reviewed how we celebrate Christmas and made an angel.
