A Peek Into Our Week 7/1
Haven’t really been doing much couponing, but this was a really good deal. Fortunately, I got rain checks for the wipes because I went a couple of times when they were actually on sale and they were completely sold out! I saved around 78%, I paid around $3! 🙂
I was going to make the Avocado Chicken Salad from Fast Paleo, but I got lazy! I’ll try to share my recipe for my version next week. It was so good and so easy! 🙂 (Most of the kids even liked it).
Continued our summer schedule for half the week. The other half was great. My aunt came and helped me get stuff done for a few days. She spent quality 1-1 time with the older kids, watched the kids so that I could get stuff done and go on a date with the husband, and really cleaned my bathrooms. She’s the best!

At the beginning of summer, I told my older two that I would pay them if they read certain books. My almost first grader would get $0.25 for every “beginner reader” book he read. My almost third grader would get $1 for every chapter book he read. I only mentioned it a couple of times and thought that it might be a wash because neither of them have read. This week, they each read! (They typically both like reading, but they usually only read books that are below their reading level, this was an incentive to try to read the harder books!)
My husband was doing his homework and my youngest decided that Daddy no longer needed to use his arm, so he used it as a road.
We had a pretty bad wind storm. Luckily, only our swing-set got damaged, a very close call on the fence though. My husband is going to be busy!
One of my favorite holidays!
How was your week?
