I just love getting compliments when it comes to my children!  My mother and father in-law watched the kids a couple of nights ago and when we got back, my mother in-law mentioned that it is so easy to put our kids down to bed.  She said they don’t fuss or argue, they just want their story read to them, vitamins, and teeth brushed and they are good to go!  She was especially amazed that our youngest (7 months) goes to bed without crying!  I told her “thanks” and then added the comment, “At least we can do one thing right!” 🙂

Probably one of my favorite compliments come from complete strangers.  I remember a few months ago we met up with my husband for lunch.  The kids were not being terrible, but a bit whinier than usual.  During our meal, an older couple was leaving and they came over to us and told us that we had such beautiful, well behaved children!  It made me feel good because it seemed like they went out of their way to complement our children!  After they left I leaned over to my husband and said, “That was nice, but they aren’t even on their best behavior today!”
