Do essential oils really work, or are they just all hype?  I have quite a few family members and friends who haven’t even tried them out yet!  I decided to do a little experiment!  Since school is back in session, there are lots of little germs just ready to attack our children.

Experiment

While I know there are some flaws in my experiment, I think you will get the jest of it!  I got 4 Ziplock bags to symbolize the typical classroom, I cut four small slices of bread from the same loaf to symbolize all of our lovely children, 4 small wet paper towels to symbolize all the lovely little germs that are in the classroom and some essential oils.

In bag number 1, my control bag, I just placed a slice of bread and wet paper towel in it.

In bag number 2, I put a wet paper towel and a slice of bread that had 1 drop of Thieves essential oils on it.

In bag number 3, I put a wet paper towel and a slice of bread that had 1 drop of Thieves and 1 drop of Purification essential oil on it.

In bag number 4, I put a wet paper towel and a slice of bread that had 1 drop of Thieves, 1 drop of Purification and 1 drop of Oregano essential oil on it!
