My biggest struggle is getting all of the presents wrapped! I always wait until Christmas Eve to wrap them and I’m usually up past 1 am trying to get them all done, which makes for a tired, cranky mommy on Christmas morning…not what my family nor I want!
I’ve done that in the past and it’s not fun! I now try to have my husband take the kids somewhere or wrap the gifts while the kids are at school and Mom’s Day Out. I now plan a day, turn up the Christmas music and have fun! Since we just moved, I now have a fireplace, so hopefully this year, I’ll get to wrap the gifts next to a fire with Christmas music blazing and my Cinnamon Clove candle burning!
We usually have most of our Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving, but I have a hard time not buying more for our kids after we are pretty much done. It is hard for me to pass up great deals on stuff I know they would like.
I have the exact same problem!! 🙂
Not being able to manage my time well. I feel as if I take on way too much this time of year too. I know the holidays are coming and have great intentions, but feel I fall short some how. My best guess, is not planning well or managing the time I have. 🙂
I think my biggest struggle is learning to let some things go. Every year I have the grand intention of making my kids (3 of them) matching flannel pj pants. I have yet to do it because inevitably someone gets sick or something else needs to take priority. It always makes me sad though when I have to let something go.
Thanks for the giveaway! I really, really hope I win. I sure could use the book!
It’s hard to let things go, but I’ve finally come to the mindset that I’d rather really enjoy a few things instead of stressing about getting to everything!
Shopping ahead of time and then balancing out the gift giving among my children (in addition to finding things I’ve bought in advance) and keeping track of it all in a way that doesn’t give away the gifts and gift ideas I’m gathering.
I struggle with finding the time to do all I want to do.
Focusing on Emmanuel (God with us!) instead of busyness, traditions, and stuff.
I struggle with choosing the right and appropriate gifts for my children, as we only give 3 gifts to each of them. Also, and more important, I have difficulty narrowing down and choosing what activities we do as a family. There’s so many things to do and traditions to make, that I just need to focus on a few and not try to do it all. Like others have said, there isn’t enough time in the season to do every fun and meaningful activity.
