• homemade Summer book
• construction paper and markers or white board and white board markers

Procedure

1. get out the summer chart (
   ) and have a class discussion about what they see in the poster
2. ask the children to guess what season the chart is depicting
3. listen to song #22 on
4. read
5. make a list by drawing a picture and labeling it on appropriate summer clothing on the construction paper or white board
6. pass out the homemade Summer books
7. model drawing a picture and labeling it on a blank page in the book from the class list
8. have the students draw and label from the list
9. have the students bring their books up to you to check
10. review things/activities/etc that we attribute to summer
