Final Friday 1/27/2012

I think I’m going to do my monthly goal review a little differently this year.  I am going to have an outline of my yearly goals, and then comment on them for what I accomplished that month.  This way, I am reminded monthly of my yearly goals and hopefully will be able to stay on track a little better!  🙂

have at least 1 date night a month My husband actually took care of this for me this month!  He texted me and told me that we were having leftovers one evening because the fridge was full.  He showed up and said that the kids were going to his parents house and we were going out.  We went to dinner and then to my favorite chocolate store afterwards! 

Personal

Work out 3 days/week Right now, I am just focusing on getting up early.  It’s getting easier.  This past week I’ve gotten up around 5:30 to do my Bible study! 

Read 1 chapter a day and at least 2 books a month I’ve completed

, still working on , , and just started .  I have not been reading my books as much this month as I usually do.

Have 12 spa days (mostly at home) I enjoyed my foot soak and my hot chocolate while watching a TV show

 

Work on book idea I’m entering into a contest and have to submit my proposal at the very end of the month!

Renew teaching license  In the works, I have requested the transcripts that I need, I’ve received one and waiting on the other!

Parenting

read 12 chapter books a year We are still reading

, we have 35 pages left to read.

go on individual date with each child (2 children per month) This is for the 3 older children.  I’ve taken Andrew and Ashlynn out already and Adam’s turn will be Sunday! 

play at least 1 board game a week Oops, I almost forgot about this goal, I’ve played Candy Land with Adam.  Hopefully I’ll make time this weekend to get a game in with Ashlynn & Andrew!

cook with kids at least once a month Andrew and Ashlynn helped me make Rice Crispy treats with strawberry marshmallows!  (good, but Ashlynn got a little burned!  🙁 )  Adam helped me make cinnamon muffins.  Ashlynn and Adam helped me make two loaves of banana bread. 

stay up to date on Letters to my Children I should probably add a little section to their last letter about Christmas.

 

House

Complete Weekly Schedule not doing too well on this

Try to do the extra Fly Lady chore each day done a pretty good job of this!

get and maintain e-mail control I now have just over 1700 emails,  slowly but surely

focus on one area of the house a month to get organized focused on getting Christmas stuff put away

 

Blog

write and submit 6 guest posts a year

do at least 6 giveaways this year

continue posting 4-5 times a week done, but I’d like to get as organized as I was last year with this and do a better job of writing in advance

comment on other blogs a couple of times a week done
