Gorgonzola Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of flat iron steak
  • 1/4 bottle of Italian Dressing (4 oz)
  • 5 TBS butter
  • 1/3 cup (or more) of Gorgonzola or Bleu cheese
  • 2 TBS chopped garlic
  • 1/3 tsp dried Basil
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar

Directions

  1. marinate steak in Italian dressing
  2. grill/oven broil steaks 3-8 minutes per side
  3. mix together 3 TBS butter, Gorgonzola cheese, 1 TBS garlic, Basil, black pepper and vinegar
  4. put a small amount of the butter and cheese mixture on each steak (I use my melon baller and put one ball of butter on each steak)
  5. grill or oven broil for 30 seconds to 1 minute to melt and brown the butter mixture
  6. Enjoy!  🙂

I usually make mashed potatoes with this and I use the rest of the butter, garlic and butter/cheese mixture in the mashed potatoes!  🙂
