Review

As I was reviewing my notes (6 pages of font size 8 with extremely small margins) to write this post, I came up with so many quotes and sections that I would love to share with you all.  I feel like almost every woman struggles with self-esteem.  I also feel that those who seem to have a very high self-esteem, usually feel the worst about themselves.  I feel like this is one way God created us so that we would be more likely to come to Him to fill the gaps.

When I got this book and read through the chapters, I almost didn’t know where to start; so many of the titles spoke to me (especially 6-9).  I found this book to be a pretty easy read and very enjoyable.  The chapters are longer than I usually like, however, most of the time, I didn’t even notice because it really spoke to my heart.  As I was reading this, I kept thinking that this is exactly what I needed to hear or what my mom needs to hear, or my friend, or Sister in-law, Mother in-law, etc.  I really believe there is something in this book for every woman out there.  I would love to have an audio version of this book (if you find one, please let me know or just get it for me and I’ll pay you back)! 😉

I went to Renee Swope‘s website and found some amazing resources.  I took her Spiritual Gifts Assessment.  Some of the things I found to be right on and some I found to be rather surprising.  She also does an online Book and Bible Study (a new one starts April 23)!  I highly recommend this book to everyone.  (At least read pages 26, 31, 43, 55, 62, chapter 4, 88, 112, 116, 125, 151, 152, 172, 177, 191, 197, 199, 217, & 218)  I wonder how many copies of this book I will buy in my lifetime to give out or because I will probably read it a lot and may wear out a few copies!   As I was reading this book, I was even moved to write a letter to a friend (who was getting ready to drastically step out of her comfort zone) and shared some of the quotes from this book with her.  She said that it really helped her and I know this book can transform your life as much as it did mine!
