Goal Update

In December I shared with you all my New Year’s Resolutions. I have been delaying this post because I have not been as successful as I had hoped. My goals were to be a better homemaker and to pay extra on the car loan.

As far as my homemaking goal, I have made some progress.  I specifically wanted to get myself on a schedule, find my desk, organized our office, and organize my crafting stuff.  I have not made as much progress as I would have liked, but I have made some!  I finally went through a big box of miscellaneous stuff and I haven’t wanted to deal with!  I found my desk once, but now it’s messy again, but not as bad.  I organized some of my crafting stuff!  I wanted to start working out more, and I have, just not at the time that I first had in mind, oh well, such is life!  I do feel a lot less stressed about my home right now, and I think that was my ultimate goal!  It is still very much a work in progress and it probably always will be, but at least there are not boxes lining the walls of our basement any more.  I am to the point now, where I feel like if I spend 15 to 30 minutes a day on the loose ends, it shouldn’t take me long to get it all done!  When I find a little more time, I can’t wait to try out this new custom cleaning schedule created by I Dream of Clean!  I have also implemented a chore chart for our kids and it seems to be going well, although my husband has been more in charge of overseeing them!

My financial goal, well, it’s hard to explain.  I have just now gotten all of the paperwork that I need to reallocate my husbands’ paychecks, however, my shoot for the moon goal was to pay the van off, and we just may be able to do that with our tax return, so I don’t know if I will be reallocating his checks or not!  I did finally get all of the things in place to be able to make additional payments and I should be able to do that any day now!

I have seemed to have lost some of my motivation, but I will soon be blogging about Dave Ramsey’s book, More Than Enough, and I think that will help me with my motivation!

I also was going to get more organized and I am except for my desk. I never can get that under control there are always papers and misc. covering it. I don’t know if I will ever conquer that goal. Good luck to you!
