Now, this is not an innovative, change the world idea, but, it works for me!

I honestly do not mind cleaning, but I do not like picking up.  So to help me a little bit with this, I use lots of baskets.

I put things/decorations in the baskets and when it’s time to clean, I can easily move the basket, clean, and replace it.

It is also good for when company comes over, you can hide the baskets (if they are eye sores) and then get them back out when the company leaves.

I leave one basket at the top of the stairs to put things in that need to go downstairs.

I also use baskets when I really need to pick up, but not feeling motivated to do so.  I tell myself to just fill up a basket and put away the things that fit in there.  (This is also a really good idea to use with kids!)
