My “compliant” child has been giving us fits lately. Even at school he is not being as responsible as he usually is. He balks every time we suggest picking up, he’s not giving notes/papers to his teacher, and when we try to play the Energy Drain card, he acts like he doesn’t care about what he’s going to miss out on! I’m hoping that things will turn around soon, because I’m getting very irritated! I think we might have made a little ground today when his younger brother got to do go somewhere with Daddy and he didn’t! He was very upset and started to cry, so I said that boys who cry are welcome to cry in their room! He didn’t cry much longer after that! I am kind of secretly hoping that he doesn’t find a way to replenish my energy, so that I don’t have energy to help him with his Valentines for school, and then he won’t get to pass any out! That would be so sad! (But hopefully he would learn to be more responsible)!
