Summer Weather

Materials
- homemade Summer book
- construction paper and markers or white board and white board markers
Procedure
- get out the summer chart () and have a class discussion about what they see in the poster
- ask the children to guess what season the chart is depicting
- listen to song #22 on
- read
- make a class list of things that happen in nature during summer (hot, sunny, etc); draw a picture and label it
- pass out the summer books and have the students write their name on the cover
- open the model book, draw a picture from the list and write the word
- instruct the students to do the same
- when the students are done, have them come up and show you their page, keep the books
- review the nature changes of summer
