Gorgonzola Steak
Ingredients
- 1 lb of flat iron steak
- 1/4 bottle of Italian Dressing (4 oz)
- 5 TBS butter
- 1/3 cup (or more) of Gorgonzola or Bleu cheese
- 2 TBS chopped garlic
- 1/3 tsp dried Basil
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
Directions
- marinate steak in Italian dressing
- grill/oven broil steaks 3-8 minutes per side
- mix together 3 TBS butter, Gorgonzola cheese, 1 TBS garlic, Basil, black pepper and vinegar
- put a small amount of the butter and cheese mixture on each steak (I use my melon baller and put one ball of butter on each steak)
- grill or oven broil for 30 seconds to 1 minute to melt and brown the butter mixture

I usually make mashed potatoes with this and I use the rest of the butter, garlic and butter/cheese mixture in the mashed potatoes! 🙂
