Her tenth chapter is called;

Kick Start Your Success

In this chapter she encourages you to start implementing her strategies.  Do it however fits best in your season of life.  Go all in and try them all or take it a step at a time.  Find what works for you and just do it.

It’s hard to have discipline and stick to it, but you will be more successful if you follow her strategies and take it one step at a time.  I know that it’s hard.  Having just been pregnant and now having a nursing baby, life is unpredictable and sleep is a lot less.  I know right now that I need to embrace this season of life and soak in as much as I can, because before long, my baby will be eight and moody and I’ll wonder where my precious little baby went.  I know that I won’t always have a baby, so some things I’m letting go now.  However, I’m fully aware that when I no longer have a baby, there will be something else standing in my way and I will just have to figure out a way to be productive and find a good balance.

I don’t always do all of the strategies that she suggests in her book all the time.  But I do know that I am happier and have a better outlook about life and myself when I live intentionally, which is what this book is all about!

Quotes

My favorite quotes from this chapter were:

  • “The difference between who you are and who you want to be is what you do.”  Bill Phillips (emphasis added)
  • “Understand the art of and importance of discipline to streamline your life and getting things done.”
  • “Learn how to move forward when distractions, life-chaning events, and setbacks occur on your journey of living on purpose.”
  • “But it’s rare that you can jump ahead in life and do difficult things (and reap the rewards) if you haven’t first started and mastered the simple things.”
